Serrv Lidded Pangara Breadwarmer

Serrv Lidded Pangara Breadwarmer

Made by artisans in Bangladesh, this beautiful terra cotta container warms rolls and bread through contact after the pottery has been heated up in the oven. Fashioned from terra cotta clay that’s gathered by hand along riverbanks before it’s cleaned, thickened, molded and fired, this oven-safe stone features a lovely floral design, as well as a whitewash, which softens the material’s natural reddish hue. The terra cotta sits in a handwoven basket of kaisa grass and palm leaves, which are fast-growing local resources. The matching woven lid keeps bread warm for even longer; it’s fashioned with a mahogany wood handle that’s attached by a rustic jute string.

Net Weight: 2 pounds
Materials: Terra cotta, Kaisa Grass, Palm Leaves, Mahogany, Jute
Dimensions: 7 inches x 11 inches
Place of Origin: Bangladesh

Care: Not dishwasher-safe. Rinse with water.
How to Use: Rinse before first use and dry well. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place terra cotta stone in oven and bake for 10 minutes. Do not put basket in oven. Handling carefully, place stone in basket. For best results, wrap food in towel and place on warmer. To clean, rinse with water. We recommend wrapping bread with a napkin or tea towel before placing on to the terra cotta stone. While the terra cotta is food safe, this keeps your bread warm and the terra cotta clean.
